Today will talk about a magical purchase from FGC-Rosseti, which have already changed their name as part of the merger. Rosseti is purchasing a consultant along with a new strategy, while the current long-term strategy (!) was approved by the Board of Directors of Rosseti literally in December 2019. And so, everything is in order.

It should be noted that the moment of purchase was extremely well chosen: while the dynamics of energy consumption statistics in the country is desperately kept secret, and most of the residents and even the government do not know what will happen after dinner, Rosseti has consultants (apparently clairvoyant) in mind, who they know exactly what will happen in 2025 and even in 2035. Powerful. Cool. And most importantly, on time. And what happened to the previous strategy, since there was a burning desire to spend 90 million rubles? Probably - lost, or broken?

The concept of the strategy is expected to be thin (but, as we understand, this is not the goal). The previous version of the strategy, by the way, was also funny, but self-made. Judging by the procurement documentation, the TOR, as usual, was written by the consultant himself. Take your time, read the TK - it's funny in places. Spoiler: they do not expect answers to serious questions from consultants (for example, solving the problems of the Caucasus). Schoolchildren who participate in all sorts of Breakthrough Energies will be sad to read it, but adults, as we know, have other goals. Set priorities. And we decided to give ourselves an early bonus for excellent work, without any strategies, KPIs and other things.

Rosseti no longer cares about commercial losses, apparently they won: even in Dagestan, there is a positive growth in the negative dynamics of losses. The focus is now on load and idle losses, as well as reducing process losses. Apparently, so that the wires do not buzz and heat up. Never. After all, someone should think about ESG in our difficult time.

In general, it’s somehow a little expensive for a strategy, especially if you try on 90 million rubles. for the strategy to the amount of dividends that the company pretends to pay. Just think - 90 million rubles. ($1.5 million for another non-pompous piece of paper, it’s definitely not McKinsey who will win this competition). Even writing an own airline strategy for the Russian Post was much cheaper this year. Dreams do come true, but not for everyone. In the case of the Post, too, everything is powerful, expensive and very timely. Judging by the nuances of the procurement documentation, the winning company of the Rosseti competition will be the same (but there may be a consortium for disguise), friendly to specific people who came from the Post to “work” in Rosseti with their “best practices”. The reason to think so is the nuances of the procurement documentation: the contractor must roll out a draft strategy by December 14, despite the fact that the contract will be concluded with him no earlier than the first decade of December, as it were, tells us that the "future" winner of the tender is already working. A couple more of these contests (and they also love insurance contests) and hello to the elite village of Cotton Way!

In general, where does the company fly at all, into what hole? It is impossible for anyone and never to explain such expenses for incomprehensible consulting, especially when adjusted for the current market situation. Or do we make a deluge and scatter?

We look forward to summing up the results of the purchase with impatience and aspiration. We will be very disappointed if, as in the case of almost all purchases of the Post by strategies, the purchase protocol will be with a password. The motherland still recognizes its heroes.
