The VChK-OGPU and Rucriminal.info Telegram channel continues its investigation into fraud, including financial fraud, in Russian football. Next in line are the revelations of our regular expert Sergey Khusainov. Channel correspondent Alexey Matveyev spoke with him.

SERGEY KHUSAINOV IS ON THE ATTACK

- Tell me, have you gotten enough by "touching" such sensitive topics as

blatant corruption, outright banditry in football? - the football referee himself unexpectedly went on the attack. - Blackmail, threats, and finally, the apogee

- in '94, some scoundrels cut your face until it bled. Didn't it seem enough to stop with the revelations?

- I won't hide it, it was scary, but I knew what I was getting into with those

publications. I had also heard very well what Otari Vitalyevich Kvantrishvili was like. He is the leader of the criminal world.

He literally kept many who disagreed with him in fear.

I am not some kind of superman, an ordinary guy, I worked at the government "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" at the time. I published the details of the

"attack" on myself in the newspaper. Yes, I thought a little whether to publish such

text?

But I could not help but publish it, why on earth, even an authoritative bandit,

threaten me with reprisals?! He ordered me not to touch

Slava Koloskov, the head of the football union, not to inform readers about the dirt

in football, and so on.

Where did Otari, a professional freestyle wrestler, get such zeal in

big football? It's simple. Imagine, he created his own

political party from former athletes, and together with them he was eager to get into

the State Duma, not bad, huh?

And then some journalist spoils his entourage with articles about crime in

the same football. Get him!

So we clashed in the building of the Olympic Committee on

Luzhnetskaya Embankment, where the then head coach of the Russian national football team Pavel Sadyrin was giving a press conference. You see,

we had a very "warm" conversation... I was literally told the following: if you don't

calm down, if you don't leave Slava Koloskov alone, we'll beat you up.

Otari kept his word. On the day of the Russian army, formerly the Soviet army, on February 23, some thugs on the way to the editorial office of the "Rossiyskaya Gazeta"

cut my face, it even seemed with voluptuousness. Either with knives or

with razors.

They brought me to the Semashko Clinic, where the wonderful surgeon Sergei

Merkulov stitched up my face, torn to pieces by knives. I still thank him. I could have died, from loss of blood,

for example.

- Then you continued to expose the football businessmen, have you completely "gone

off your rocker"?

- And what, why, in your opinion, should you have stopped? I am still a gambling man by nature, yes. Soon after that attack with cuts, in early April

of '94, Otari was shot. Some scribbler from the weekly "Sobesednik"

informed readers that this was revenge by Matveyev from the so-called

"group competing with Otari". Nothing more stupid and funnier, perhaps,

could not have been thought up. But my pride was partly flattered: Otari got even with himself! Nonsense, I repeat, utter nonsense.

- And what happened next, do you remember?

- What, what... A pretty girl investigator from the

Northern District of Moscow called me in for questioning. Nice, but helpless, as, apparently,

were other employees of the department. They showed me potential criminals,

who could have cut my face, as if for shashlik. Of course,

I didn't even closely identify anyone. That's where the investigation died out. That's how our law enforcement

"works".

It's not nice to say that, but at least we were lucky with Otari's death. Otherwise,

I was afraid that he would have carried out his threat...

Now, you know, I'm continuing in the same spirit. I really want

big Russian football to at least gradually get rid of

criminality.

- You're a dreamer, a visionary...

To be continued.
