A source for the Cheka-OGPU and http://Rucriminal.info reported that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is preparing reforms to lower the quality threshold for candidates to serve in the agency. This is due to a personnel shortage that is only growing.
The main plan is to introduce contracts that cannot be terminated, as practiced by the Federal Protective Service and the Federal Security Service. We have repeatedly reported that since the beginning of the Security Service, special services employees have not been dismissed voluntarily.
This reform was proposed to be piloted at the Ministry of Internal Affairs headquarters in the so-called "new territories."
According to the source, the health of young candidates for service in the internal affairs agencies is deteriorating every year. Many applicants are eliminated at the medical examination stage.
Most have a history of chronic illnesses. Now, the list of illnesses that prevent service in the Ministry of Internal Affairs is planned to be reviewed and shortened.
Furthermore, the mandatory polygraph test is also planned to be eliminated. Most candidates fell flat on their faces when asked about offenses and the use of illegal drugs and substances.
Another move by the Ministry of Internal Affairs personnel is to minimize the internship period to one month, at the discretion of the supervisor. Previously, the probationary period for candidates was at least three months.
Measures are also being taken against former employees who are successfully persuaded to return to service. Such employees were sent to training camp after a break of more than five years. Now, this requirement will be eliminated for those returning.
