Clouds continue to gather in Dagestan over members of the defeated team of former State Secretary Magomed-Sultan Magomedov. A source told the Cheka-OGPU and Rucriminal.info that his relative, Azer Naftaliyev, the current head of the republic's State Procurement Committee, has gone on the run. The fugitive was a member of the so-called "Baku Yard," a political group that included associates and relatives of Magomed-Sultan Magomedov.

According to the source, the "Baku Yard" group is a front for the more established clan organization, the "Dargin Club," which is patronized by Magomedsalam Magomedov, Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Administration. It was under this name that the now-former Secretary of State and former oil magnate Magomed-Sultan Magomedov operated all these years. This alliance is further confirmed by the fact that Azer Naftaliyev, a fugitive member of the Baku Yard, has been actively cooperating over the past six months with the regional government's Deputy Prime Minister, Ruslan Aliyev, who has been a longtime loyal consigliere of the Dargin Club. And all this occurred under the nominal leadership of Sergei Melikov in Dagestan, who installed in key positions all those who had been cut off from the budget trough under the previous head of the republic, Vladimir Vasiliev.

Azer Naftaliyev lent a hand in the "embezzlement" of budget funds to Magomed Magomedov, the son of the former Secretary of State, who was responsible for this area. For 2025 alone, they distributed contracts worth over 2 billion rubles to controlled companies for baby food procurement. Makhachkala, headed by the State Secretary's protégé Dzhambulat Salavov, stands out. In the capital of Dagestan, 1.25 billion rubles were allocated to controlled companies for baby food, and in Kaspiysk, 250 million. Another 500 million were allocated to other municipalities, where the embezzlement of funds was no less blatant. In other areas, embezzlement of state funds has also become widespread.
