The Cheka-OGPU and Rucriminal.info have learned details of the criminal case against Galina Matusevich, an employee of the Moscow Prosecutor's Office and a state prosecutor in several high-profile cases. According to investigators, she helped her uncle conceal the murder of his partner and then attempted to leave Russia with him. However, the supervisory agency employee is still suspected of complicity.

At the end of October, the body of 42-year-old Gurban Kerimov was found in a completely burned-out Hyundai Solaris near the village of Kolychevo in the Stupino District. The day before, the deceased had arrived at Babayev's dacha with his 33-year-old girlfriend and her uncle, Alexander Babayev. There, they had a conflict, and Matusevich's mother's brother struck the guest on the head several times with a heavy object. He died from his injuries.

After this, according to the case materials, the uncle and niece acted in concert. They loaded the body into the deceased's car, drove it outside the village, and set it on fire, attempting to fake an accident. A few days later, both were detained while attempting to leave the country.

The investigation charged Babayev's actions under Article 105 of the Russian Criminal Code ("murder"), and he was arrested last week. Matusevich, however, faced more trouble: she was retroactively fired from the Moscow Prosecutor's Office, where at the time of her arrest she held a position in the 17th Directorate, overseeing criminal enforcement.

Initially, when their statements were verified on the spot, both defendants misled investigators about the location and method of the murder. Despite the arson, it was clear that the victim's head had been smashed in with a hammer. There were several blows. Therefore, the question of qualifications arose: prosecutor Galina Matusevich is still suspected of having deliberately lured the suitor and participated in the massacre.

As a result, she was arrested under Part 2 of Article 316 of the Russian Criminal Code ("concealment of a particularly serious crime"). Matusevich admitted her guilt, is cooperating with the investigation, and has presented her case in detail. Interestingly, she represented the prosecution in a number of high-profile trials, including the trial of former hieroschemamonk Sergiy (Romanov).

During the hearings in the "Sergiy case," Prosecutor Matusevich publicly spoke of threats from the defendant's support group. According to her, unknown individuals "manipulated" her car, inspected its undercarriage, insulted her in the courtroom corridors, and even sprayed a liquid, presumably holy water, into the courtroom. The trial was subsequently closed by a judge due to safety concerns for the participants.

Galina Matusevich's name was also mentioned in publications about the hearings of former Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Ilham Nasibullin, where she supported the state prosecution and requested substantial prison terms for the defendants.

Now, the law enforcement officer herself is under investigation. According to her, the motive for the crime was an attempt to protect herself from domestic violence. Matusevich's partner systematically beat her, humiliated her, and controlled her every move. Trying to "reason" with her aggressive partner, she brought in her uncle, but the encounter ended in murder.

The victim worked as a musician, playing keyboards in a restaurant. They met on one of these "working" evenings. Gurban Kerimov began actively pursuing the prosecutor's office worker and eventually became close to her.
