The second problem of the plant in Kaliningrad is payback. The plant, and the entire business, is built on borrowed money from Gazprombank. But Igor Shakhrai, having taken over the director's chair, decided to maintain floating rates on all company loans, as a result, the plundering of the business has been going on for more than 8 years. This means that for the plant, which does not really work and does not make a profit, as well as for the other loans, you now need to pay money at an average rate of 24% per annum, not bad, right? At the same time, everyone tried to dissuade him from moving away from the floating system, since the main loans over the years were taken at a time of low rates on the lending market and would be gradually closed at low rates, but in the end they are paid back at crazy rates. Any schoolchild can easily balance the balance and understand everything. Smart ideas about issuing bonds, including in yuan at 8-9% were rejected, because Igor Shakhrai could not accept the fact that he did not think of it himself.
