A source for VChK-OGPU and Rucriminal.info reported that in recent weeks, Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu has become a rather troublesome neighbor for other residents of the Rublevo-Uspenskoye Highway. "Every day at 4 or 5 a.m., a racket and shouting begin, and thick, acrid smoke billows out. Someone even tried to tactfully ask what was going on, but there was no explanation. Through the grapevine among the staff, it emerged that several shamans had been brought in—and are living there—to perform rituals involving drums and the like in the early morning hours. They also burn pungent plants. No one knows how long this will go on," our source said.
It is unknown what the shamans are asking for on Shoigu's behalf.
Another source notes that Shoigu is in a highly agitated state of mind. There are no clear indications that he has received "forgiveness" from Putin. "No one is stopping Shoigu's daughters from working on state-funded projects. But Kuzhugetovich himself is indeed in a difficult position, anticipating a blow from any direction. Apparently, everyone is satisfied with his precarious status; Putin is unlikely to 'finish him off,' as that would create an unnecessary imbalance in the system of checks and balances," the source believes.
Yet another source also speaks of Shoigu's extreme nervousness: "He is indeed constantly under great tension. This greatly amuses the likes of Dmitry Medvedev, given their very poor relationship. It seems they don't even say hello to each other these days."
