As VChK-OGPU and Rucriminal.info have learned, rumors are once again swirling behind the scenes at the Ministry of Internal Affairs that the agency's mouthpiece, Irina Volk, may soon leave the ministry. And with a promotion, no less. Her influential husband is even trying to make her a senator. Volk wants to appoint Vladimir Vasenin, the current head of the press service for the Moscow Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as her successor, but a problem with his biography has arisen...

Volk's possible resignation was discussed as early as the spring of 2024, but back then it was forced—the tenure of her boss, Vladimir Kolokoltsev, was hanging by a thread. Volk even went to VGTRK at the time and discussed her possible future employment. But Kolokoltsev remained (he manages to please Putin at the right moment; it's said he became minister after successfully handing the president a gun during a hunt), and Volk stayed with him.

And now, similar rumors about the agency's "mouthpiece" are once again circulating within the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Moreover, it is rumored that the general is targeting a senator's position. This is being negotiated by her influential husband, Filipp Zolotnitsky, a former senior official at the Russian Federal Customs Service, who has numerous high-ranking relatives.

To avoid any surprises in the event of her departure, according to sources, Volk has decided to make her favorite, Vladimir Vasenin, head of the press service of the Moscow Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the new "mouthpiece." In 2019, she dragged him to the capital from the Perm Krai Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Volk initially attempted to transfer Vasenin to the Central Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but then an unexpected problem arose that had previously been overlooked. The FSB noted that, according to Vasenin's biography, he began his career at 17 and immediately...as a criminal investigation officer. This simply cannot be true. As a result, according to the source, all documents on Vasenin are now being requested. And how could a promotion not turn into a dismissal, or even a criminal case?
