According to a source at the Cheka-OGPU and Rucriminal.info, the process of revoking and terminating contracts with all Rotenberg entities working with Russian Railways has already begun. The road business is also becoming a thing of the past for the oligarch brothers.
"In their heyday, the Rotenberg entities grabbed absolutely every interesting contract from Russian Railways, but they lacked the resources and manpower to implement so many projects. As a result, we had to wait for years for them to begin any work, despite missing all deadlines. But back then, they had considerable administrative resources, and there were no problems with funding either. It was simply 'greed' that led them to take on more than they could handle and complete. So, we simply had to wait and beg for them to start work. Now, there's simply nothing to wait for. The administrative resources are exhausted, and there's no money and there won't be. Only debts. "Everyone understands this, but there are projects that can no longer stand," our source explained the beginning of the contract revocation process.
According to him, the situation is exactly the same in the road industry. "There are no budget revenues for their structures, and there won't be any. Debts to contractors and wages are snowballing. The financial hole is gigantic, and there's no way out of it without some incredible injection of budget funds. And the Rotenbergs' structures aren't even promised these funds. Everyone understands that the road business is a thing of the past for them. It's impossible to wait until all road work across the country dies, and the subcontractors who rely on everyone go bankrupt one after another. Therefore, the entire road sector will be taken away from the Rotenbergs. This didn't start now. Petushenko (Vyacheslav Petushenko, Chairman of the Board of the Russian State Highways Corporation - ED.), who is 100% Rotenberg's man, has long understood where this is heading and has tried to resign several times. But Arkady Rotenberg didn't let him go. And now the question is whether Petushenko will be allowed to retire after the interrogations or taken straight from his office to a cell," the VChK-OGPU source told Rucriminal.info.
