VChK-OGPU and Rucriminal.info have learned that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched a major investigation into the case of 16-year-old Khusein Gadzhiev, who first attacked shopping center security guards and then two police officers. It turned out that his entire family had obtained Russian citizen passports through a simplified procedure and were receiving monthly benefits totaling 60,000 rubles. Therefore, social service employees were also included in the investigation. However, the decision was made not to recognize the incident as a terrorist attack for political reasons.

The attack took place on November 23, 2025, at the shopping center on Orekhovy Boulevard. Khusein Gadzhiev performed namaz (prayer) inside the shopping center and was reprimanded by a security guard. He then approached the security guard and stabbed him in the back, then ran out of the building and attempted to escape.

A first-year student at the College of Electrical Engineering and IT was found near the Domodedovskaya metro station. The teenager pulled out an axe and struck two police officers with it during his arrest. Security forces subsequently released a video of Gadzhiev pledging allegiance to a terrorist organization.

According to investigators, after pledging allegiance, the teenager began planning an attack (he had purchased the weapons – a knife and an axe – through the Wildberries marketplace in advance), before praying. At that moment, shopping center security guards approached him.

Despite the security forces' loud statements, according to our sources, the incident was not treated as a terrorist attack. A source says the order came from above to avoid public mention of the "radicalization" of Azerbaijani immigrants.

An investigation has been launched into Gadzhiev's family. The circumstances surrounding the boy's parents' acquisition of Russian citizenship through a simplified procedure are currently being investigated. Moreover, it turned out that the Gadzhievs were financially sound, but the family was considered low-income and received benefits totaling 60,000 rubles per month.
