The motorcade included participants in a birthday celebration for Ramzan Kadyrov's nephew.
According to sources, on January 16, young people from the Kadyrov clan were celebrating the 29th birthday of Khamzat Kadyrov (Deputy Prime Minister of the Chechen Republic) – the nephew of the Chechen leader and son of his late older brother, Zelimkhan. Suddenly, the young people decided to go somewhere, and the motorcade sped through the city. At 160 km/h, the lead car, driven by Adam himself, crashed into another vehicle that had turned off the traffic light. The exact occupants of the car with Adam are still unknown. Previously, sources said that fighter Tyson (the nickname of professional boxer Viskhan Murzabekov, who is now a member of Kadyrov's security service) was among the injured. According to some reports, Khamzat Kadyrov himself may have been in the car. Adam Kadyrov was hospitalized at Botkin Hospital in Moscow; his condition was initially assessed as serious, but sources now say it has improved.
