A coup is brewing at Gazprom. Some members of the company's top management have been placed under the external control of a beneficiary who stands to gain by removing Alexey Miller, who has held the position of Chairman of the Management Board since 2001. Several Gazprom deputy chairmen, including Sergey Khomyakov, Sergey Kupriyanov, Yury Gorokh, Sergey Kuznets, and Vitaly Markelov, are privately saying that Miller's position will soon be replaced by Alexander Dyukov. It will be interesting to see how Alexey Borisovich will react to the internal conspiracy, if at all.
At the same time, many board members may soon face problems. It's clear to many that such stories are not isolated. And they won't just be reported; they can lead to jail time.
