The Cheka-OGPU and Rucriminal.info have learned details of the discovery of an IED in the parking lot of a residential building on Musa Jalil Street in Moscow on March 5th. Apparently, the bomb was intended for a nuclear weapons developer.
A suspicious package was discovered in a parking space near a residential building. But who "lost" the bomb and under what circumstances remains unknown. Presumably, the explosive device was planted under one of the cars. The IED failed to detonate, detached from the car, and fell to the pavement.
According to sources, security forces went door-to-door and questioned residents, trying to determine who exactly the bomb might have been intended for. According to eyewitnesses, security forces were looking not only for a specific person but also for the car to which the device might have been attached.
Residents, guided by questions from the special services, are discussing the possibility that the target could have been scientist Alexei Shch. He has been working at the Federal State Unitary Enterprise VNIIA since 1997—a closed defense industry institute that develops nuclear weapons.
