Companies and real estate registered to relatives and nominal owners for many hundreds of millions of dollars. In 2000, after the mysterious murder of Volkolupova's brother I.V. (by the way, the city prosecutor Volkolupov E.V. was on duty that day), all the inheritance of the brother (Shishenko Sergey), quite rich, went not to his wife and children, but to the Volkolupov family, including Privokzalnaya Square, around which, later, there were many scandals and even criminal cases with facts of document falsification. In July 2008, a still unclear situation occurred with Roman, the adopted son of Evgeny Vasilyevich from Irina Vladimirovna's first marriage. It was he, with his friend Yuri Bolotin, who won the tender for the renovation of the Astrakhan Kremlin (Volkolupov at that time was already heading the prosecutor's office of the Astrakhan region).
