As the Cheka-OGPU and Rucriminal.info have discovered, the "security guard" killed in the Balzi Rossi explosion is apparently an FSO officer. It was officers from this agency who were responsible for security at the event.

It is now possible to piece together a rough picture of what happened. In May, General Alexander Chaiko was appointed Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS). However, he did not celebrate this occasion at the time, telling friends that he would do so in conjunction with his anniversary celebration – Chaiko turned 55 on July 27, 2026. The entire restaurant was rented from Hip Hop Cafe LLC (manages Balzi Rossi) for the two celebrations.

 

According to our information, the payer was a woman, and the service cost 9 million rubles. For a long time, Balzi Rossi was owned by businessman Alexander Karmanov (the founder of a chain of nightclubs and strip clubs in the 1990s, most famously "Grezy"). Sources say Viktor Sheremet, a former FSB officer who became one of the largest pimps, also had ties to Balzi Rossi. The establishment was later purchased by Maxim Kuznetsov, the owner of several bookmaking firms.

 

A diverse group of guests were invited. Among them were Chaiko's colleagues from various years, State Duma deputies (Zelimkhan Mutsoyev was present), government officials, and FSB officers. Along the building's perimeter, at the entrance to the veranda, and in the parking lots, identical "coffins" were parked – Lexus and Toyota SUVs with license plates, most often registered to other cars. All of them are linked to the security of the President Hotel, which is provided by the Federal Protective Service. These vehicles weren't accompanying the guests, but rather were providing security for the closed event.

 

A cover band was entertaining the arriving guests on the stage, behind which were the letters "Alexander 55." The explosion occurred during a performance of Yuri Loza's song "Raft." A few minutes earlier, a car with flashing lights, accompanied by a security car, pulled up to the veranda. Immediately, a female courier approached the veranda carrying a beautifully wrapped box. It's unclear who was in the car. Perhaps it was Chaiko himself, or perhaps one of his high-ranking guests. Judging by the footage taken immediately after the explosion, the courier was stopped by the man in the FSO coffin car. Most likely, it was an FSO officer. An explosion occurred almost immediately. The woman, the officer who stopped her, and a certain "guest," whose identity is being carefully concealed, were killed. Chaiko himself, judging by the information currently available, survived.
