VChK-OGPU and Rucriminal.info have learned of the catastrophic financial situation within Arkady Rotenberg's structures. Employees and workers (almost 20,000 people) of one of the oligarch's main assets, Transstroymekhanizatsiya, have either not been paid at all or have been paid up to 60% of their salaries. Moreover, the employees and workers are not being offered any promising prospects; on the contrary, they are being hinted that things will only get worse. Transstroymekhanizatsiya relies exclusively on state funding (like all of Rotenberg's businesses), and this funding has now stalled. For example, the state-owned company Avtodor has still not opened its state funding for 2026, despite having done so regularly in early April in all previous years. Transstroymekhanizatsiya has also stopped paying interest on the enormous loans that Rotenberg's structure is literally mired in. This is despite the fact that the oligarch had long ago established a system whereby Transstroymekhanizatsiya only pays interest, leaving the principal debt unpaid. Our project previously reported on a similar situation with the largest Russian Railways contractors controlled by Rotenberg: salaries are not being paid, and subcontractors are not receiving funds.
